WHY GEOTHERMAL

Geothermal energy offers an environmentally friendly way of fulfilling energy demand for base load electric power or for other direct heat utilization application.

Power generation from high temperature geothermal resources involves energy conversion technologies such as flash steam cycles, dry steam cycles, binary cycles and enhanced geothermal systems (EGS). The stable power production utilizing geothermal resources is unaffected by climatic variations and results in high capacity factor up to 90%, making it suitable for base load production.

Other Applications

Low temperature geothermal energy resources, can be used for a wide variety of things, and can often benefit local communities beyond their power generation. This can include heating for greenhouses, homes, school, or office buildings — just to name a few.

Some low-temperature resources can even be used for geothermal cooling, or air conditioning applications, as seen in our ongoing cooling project.
